More Info

YEG Youth Connect is an annual, one-day event that exists to connect youth, ages 13-29, who are experiencing homelessness, or at risk of experiencing homelessness, with the resources they need to turn their lives around.

YEG Youth Connect acknowledges that we are on the traditional territory of the Cree, Blackfoot, Métis, Nakoda Sioux, Dene, Saulteaux and Inuit peoples. Treaties 6 territory continues to be an important gathering place for many First Nation peoples. We also recognize their contributions to building healthy communities and thank them for their stewardship of the land. YEG Youth Connect is committed to fostering a sense of belonging for all.

When Youth Aren’t Connected

Insufficient access to resources and supports leaves youth who are homeless vulnerable to victimization and criminalization as they try to survive on the street. When youth are not connected, they become trapped in the cycle of homelessness.

YEG Youth Connect provides an opportunity for youth, ages 13-29, to connect with agencies who provide services in a multitude of areas, such as housing, counselling, addictions, health, employment, and much more.
